How to root the Samsung Galaxy S22, S22+ & S22 Ultra with Magisk

Root Samsung Galaxy S22 series using Odin and Magisk. Explains Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 partition structures, Knox warranty status, and banking root detection bypass.

Rooting method

Step 1. Download the full Odin firmware package for your exact model and CSC region (Odin 4-File Firmware).
Step 2. Copy AP_*.tar.md5 to the phone and open the Magisk app. Tap Install → Select and Patch a File and choose the AP tar. Magisk patches boot.img inside it — no manual extraction is required.
Step 3. Copy the resulting magisk_patched.tar back to your computer.
Step 4. Open Odin and load magisk_patched.tar in the AP slot, then load the matching BL, CP and HOME_CSC files from the same firmware package.
Step 5. Flash, then boot the device and open the Magisk app to confirm root.

Download the full Odin firmware for the new build, patch the new AP tar in the Magisk app, then flash it together with BL, CP and HOME_CSC (HOME_CSC keeps your data).
